Congratulations to Ashlyn and Jake! There was so much to love about filming this wedding day. It is always so cool to see couples who have known each other since they were kids get married. Ashlyn and Jake met when they were in middle school on the school bus.They were always a part of the same friend’s group and their families have known each other for a long time. In fact, Ashlyn’s mom was Jake’s preschool teacher. They dated during their early years of high school but went their separate ways for a while. Of course, I wouldn’t be posting this video if the story didn’t continue with these two starting to date again later. I loved being able to show off this couple’s love through the shots I was able to film of them together. One of my favorite details of the day was Ashlyn’s ring- what a beauty! St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Shakopee was a beautiful place for the ceremony. I loved Father’s message for the couple about the significance of this day. These two were celebrated by so many family and friends who attended the reception at the Park Ballroom in New Prague. The speeches by their family and friends were an awesome mix of humor and meaningfulness. I was lucky enough to get to film Ashlyn’s sister, Erika’s, wedding in 2020, so it was really neat for me to see the family celebrate another wedding. I want to wish Ashlyn and Jake many years of love and happiness. I’m so lucky to get to work with such nice couples! I enjoyed working with Whitley Sander Photography throughout the day. I am also so thankful that Abigail Turnquist could second shoot for me again at this wedding.
