Lukas & Molly Wedding Highlight Video | Sleepy Eye, MN | Small-Town Winter Wedding
You can’t get much more wholesome than the love story of a couple of 4-H sweethearts. For me personally, I got a warm feeling hearing about how part of Lukas and Molly’s story tied back to my home county fair in Cottonwood County. I watched Lukas and Molly grow up from a distance. They were in different 4-H workshops I led and both served as camp counselors when I was a 4-H Coordinator in their region. I knew Lukas and Molly as great kids with great families. It was a special treat to see them now as adults and learn more about their love story. The speeches from this video will genuinely have you laughing and crying. Molly and Lukas demonstrate how underrated a winter, small-town church wedding is these days! When I posted a teaser back in December, numerous people thought some of the clips looked like a Hallmark film. I had a few people comment that it made them wish they would have had a small-town wedding instead of a destination wedding. I’m sure Lukas and Molly will recall the frigid temperatures when taking outdoor pictures and the worry of if guests could travel the winter roads. However, as their pastor said, the love associated with the Christmas season combined with their love as a couple made this such a special time of year to get married. I enjoyed filming at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Sleepy Eye as well as the Sleepy Eye Event Center. It was a pleasure to work with Blue Earth Creative. I picked up on so many creative ideas from Brittany and I appreciated her knack for finding interesting lighting. Starlight Sounds DJ also was a great team player with my audio needs for recording speeches. I also had Abigail Turnquist shooting with me. I need to give her a shout out because she started filming with me as my intern two years ago. I was lucky enough to keep her on for another wedding season and the progress in her filming abilities is so impressive!
